What is a Bookbub Featured deal? Basically, it’s the best book-marketing platform money can buy. On Dec. 30th, my book will be promoted on sale to around 3 Million readers via Bookbub’s email service. It’s a way for readers to get cheap books and writers to get their books out there. It’s really hard to book a deal though, they have around a 5% acceptance rate.

So needless to say I’m pretty fucking psyched!

It’s official. We out here.

Death in the Wastelands is now published, ready for your reading pleasure.

I’m really tired, lol. But I am so very excited to announce this. Because I’ve worked incredibly hard on this, and I think it’s going to be everything my readers ever wanted from a origin story for the American Rebirth Series.

It follows Rob, Taylor and Whiskey from the very beginning. And good goddamn was it fun to write.

It’s live on Amazon, just click the picture above. It’s live on some of my other distributors too, but it’s just taking a little while for some of them to publish it. I’ll post links to it later on when they’re all live. And the paperback should be live soon, too.

The time has come!

Starting today, my second BookBub deal for my brand new AMERICAN REBIRTH TRILOGY BOXSET goes live!!

And I’m super fucking excited about it! Because I’m gonna sell a shitload of books. That’s just how badass BookBub is as a promotional tool.

They’re so hard to book, I’ve applied probably 20 times and I’ve only gotten two deals. I’ve heard from people who have applied hundreds of times and never gotten any. This shit is exclusive.

Hence, the excitement. Part of me wants to throw up, selling all three books of my series for 2.99$. But that’s the price of business, baby. Gotta give somethin’ to get somethin’.

IN OTHER NEWS: It’s too early to tell for sure, but I might be doing a book signing on long island sometime soon at a place called Huntington Book Revue.  I’ve never done a brick-and-mortar signing before, so it’d probably be pretty fun. Anyway, I’ll let y’all know if it happens.

First off, to those readers who took a second to write a review for my new American Rebirth Trilogy Box Set, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is because of you, that this awesome news has happened:

I submitted the very Box Set Trilogy in question for a bookbub featured deal, figured it was worth a shot. I got my first bookbub deal last year for HOOD and it was incredible. I sold thousands of books in a day.

That’s how badass a Bookbub deal is.

A Humble Request to the Readers…

Hope everyone’s enjoying pumpkin-flavored-everything season. I am, for real though. Haven’t had any pumpkin pie yet though. That’s the good stuff.

Anyhow,

As you may know, I released an eBook Boxset of the American Rebirth series, including Hood, Legends, and American Rebirth.

I wanted to reach out to my readers and make a humble request: for all those who read my books, if I could ask you to leave a review of my writing on the boxset, you’d be doing me a huge service. It doesn’t have to be long, or a work of art. Just write you how feel.

Whether you loved a book, hated it, or just meh, I don’t care, leave an honest review. Reviews are worth their weight in gold for authors.

The boxset is a very good marketing tool for me, as I can promote all three books at once using it. I will try to get a Bookbub featured deal with it. I’ve gotten one with Hood before and it was tremendous. For those who don’t know it’s the premiere marketing tool for authors. Basically, it helps you sell lots and lots of books when you list it on sale.

Anyway, that’s all. For those who want to know, I’m hard at work at the next novel. I’m really happy with how it’s coming out. I’ll post more updates about it soon.

QUICK BOOK 3 UPDATE:

I’m still working on the manuscript, but it’s coming along now. My end of Summer deadline has come and passed, but I knew that would be a pretty aggressive goal anyway. I’m shooting to have it done by wintertime, now.

I’m really excited about how it’s coming out. It’s been really fun to write, and it’s pretty interesting writing sequels in general. There’s so much more to build off of an so much to consider as you craft the story when the background isn’t just background–it’s the beloved books you’ve laid down to get to where you are. More than anything, I just want this book to be fun as hell to read and a big payoff for readers of my series. I think I’m well on the way to that.

BOOK 3 Update: I’m about 27,000 words into American Rebirth. I absolutely love how it’s coming out, though it’s taking a bit longer than I’d have liked. Still shooting to get it out by the end of Summer!

Yesterday was my Bookbub, May 11th. A week before my birthday (woo). HOOD is on sale for $0.99.

Granted, I’m not exactly sure how it measures up vs. other people’s Bookbub promos, but…

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.

So, for sales numbers: 2,438 books.

So what now? Basically, I try to keep promoting and spreading the word about the book for the rest of the week. Then I switch it back to 2.99 and try to make more moneys. Ideally this sort of visibility will catapult the book up to the top of the charts for an extended period of time and sales keep rolling in. At risk of sounding prideful, I think it’s a pretty damn good book (so humble) so hopefully word spreads like it did when I launched last year.

Once the week is over I’m going to post another thread to measure how the tail fares, and see if maybe I hit a USAToday Bestseller list (which would just be pure gravy IMO.)
